A new business in Lautoka has ventured in hopes towards gearing quality at its centre of business operations.

Hooked and Cooked on Mana street Lautoka specialises in selling delicacies related to fish.

Business co-owner Angel Narayan said that their concept was based on quality which would be a major business driver.

“Our Story is quite simple, we wanted to create a modern take on the very traditional dish of fish and chips,”  Ms Narayan said.

What’s modern about fish and chips we hear you ask?

“Well, a combination of our super allergen friendly approach alongside awesome world influences of flavour and taste gives a whole new spin on the humble fish and chips.

“Our batters are prepared daily using only quality ingredients, our Fish and Fries are cooked separately using Canola oil and vegetable shortening in our fryers.

“Our ethos is equally simple. To make from scratch and not cheat. So no mass produced pre-prepared frozen rubbish that just needs heating up and serving,” Ms Narayan said.

Angel Narayan is from Hamburg, Germany, and Movin Shariff from Auckland, New Zealand. They got together to deliver the people of Lautoka, traditional Fish and Chips in a modern atmosphere.

“We think that the buying and eating of Fish and Chips should be a family affair which is why we’ve put so much effort into creating a funky, modern, family-friendly environment you’ll be happy to take the kids to,” Ms Narayan said.

Both the entrepreneurs truly believe that Fish and Chips can be the tastiest meal when prepared the Hooked & Cooked way.

“Excellent Fish & Chips doesn’t happen by accident, they result from our attention to detail, our commitment to always use the best raw ingredients.

“We make sure that every process and the decision is right for our customers, our business and the environment. It’s important to us that you can trust us, the provenance of our Food,” said Ms Narayan.

They commenced with their business earlier this month in Lautoka.
