Dodt To Watch

Australian golfer Nick Cullen believes fellow leader and countryman Andrew Dodt is the player everyone would be chasing in the Fiji International presented by Fiji Airways at the Natadola Bay Championship Golf Course.
Australians Cullen, Dodt, Jarryd Fenton and Ben Campbell lead after day one scoring five under par 67.
“He’s such a great player. I’m really jealous of his tempo,”he said.
“He’s just got the most beautiful tempo and his swing’s so solid.”
Cullen said Dodt was definitely the player to watch this week and everyone would be chasing him down.
Cullen said he had a pretty good round yesterday with a blemish of a bogey with three putts.
“Hit a couple of really good iron shots to a foot and holed a couple of putts and just pretty solid.”
“It wasn’t the best warm-up and I didn’t feel that great on the range.
“Sometimes you end up having good days after that, so worked out well.”’
Back at Natadola after two years, Cullen said the greens were more playable that made the iron shots a lot better.
“There’s still some really tough ones downwind where they’re really firm and you’ve got to be careful where you land it. But Vijay Singh made some great changes and it’s really looking great.”
