Grammar ready for QVS

The Suva Grammar School Under-16 rugby team will be putting everything on the line during the Powerade Super Deans Rugby semifinal clash against Queen Victoria School today.
SGS team manager Deborah Gucake said knowing that QVS is one of the prominent schools in the Eastern zones they would not be taking the game lightly.
Gucake added that despite facing difficulties in getting the team together for training, she applauded the players for their perseverance in reaching the semifinal.
“From the game against Lelean Memorial School last week, I was really happy seeing the boys’ transition from the zone competition to a whole new level in the quarterfinals,” Gucake said.
“They are now ready to take on QVS although we are not undermining them knowing they are coming from the Eastern Zone and will be one of the strong teams.
“They are becoming more aggressive and I know they really want this win so I kept reminding the boys from Monday that they will need to work hard and one area we need to work on is our defensive line.
“Though we have not had much training time together we are happy with all they achieved during this past week.”
