Defending Under-16 champions Ratu Kadavulevu School will take on Queen Victoria School in the Powerade Super Deans Championship final.

In the semi-finals yesterday RKS brushed aside a strong Natabua High School challenge to win 15-9 while QVS pipped Suva Grammar School 17-15.

RKS U16 coach Atanasio Dianirova said core of his players have been playing together right from the U14 grade.

Dianirova said the pressure by the NHS side saw them made a few mistakes.

“It was all about catching up and we were very fortunate to have got this win,” he said.

“We were under pressure because of the errors that we made. The second thing is that we need a specialist halfback and also we do not have a good kicker to get us the extra points.”

Dianirova added that they are looking forward to play QVS in the final and are urging all their supporters to come out in numbers.
