Young man who attempted to break into and enter a Vodafone booth in Nausori will be sentenced in the Suva High Court on August 13, 2018.

The accused Lekima Tunidau, 19, appeared before Justice Salesi Temo yesterday alongside his 20-year-old co-accused Malakai Cakaunitabua.

On July 16, 2018 Tunidau pleaded guilty to a charge of attempted aggravated burglary while Cakaunitabua delivered a not guilty plea.

Tunidau admitted that on April 18, 2018 at about 2am he met with another person at the Nausori Bus Stand and they were in the process of breaking into the Vodafone booth when they were caught by Police patrolling Nausori Town.

State lawyer Susan Serukai said Tunidau had admitted the offence in his caution interview.

She then filed and served the State’s sentencing submissions in court.

Both accused persons have been further remanded in custody.

The case has been adjourned to August 13, 2018.
