Auto Care Fiji Limited launched its Vodafone Hibiscus Festival queen contestants at the Fiji Society for the Blind in Vatuwaqa last night.

The company will be sponsoring two of the 12 contestants at this year’s festival. The queens are Miss Sinopec Nikhat Nilufa Khan, and Miss Fiji Society for the Blind Jessica Margaret Rose Fong.

Company managing director Kalpesh Patel said sponsoring two queens was to help create awareness and their support towards the Fiji Society for the Blind and its charity works.

Ms Fong said: “It is very empowering and I am very humble to be doing this. I hope that I would represent them to the best of my abilities.

“I am hoping that at the end of everything there is more awareness and advocacy on the society itself.”

Children from the Blind Society wished their queen well for the event.

The Vodafone Hibiscus Festival begins tomorrow and crowning night is on August 18. The weeklong festival will be held for the first time at the Valelevu Grounds in Nasinu.
