Qoro does flower arrangements for extra income

Inoke Qoro apart from being a market vendor also does flower arrangements to complement his daily income.
Mr Qoro, 47 has been a market vendor at the Lautoka Market the last six years and he takes orders for flower arrangement from the same where he sells vegetables and root crops.
He is now the breadwinner for his family following his brother’s untimely death two weeks ago.
“My brother passed away two weeks ago, he was the breadwinner in our family. But everything is now on my shoulders,” Mr Qoro said. He now lives with his sister-in-law and her grandchildren.
“I have pushed myself to upgrade my business to help my family,” he said.
His life is now revolved around the market.
“I get up at 5am, do my morning prayer, by 6.30am I’m already in the city,” he said.
“Being a market vendor is my bread and butter. It has helped me to buy whatever I want for my family. It also helps me do my payments as well.
“My flower arrangement business also helps in a big way.”
He loves to give back to society, making weekly donations to the local church is something he has taken positively in life.
“That’s our role as human beings,” he said.
Mr Qoro understands when people sometimes come to his stall without adequate funds to buy what they require.
“I understand that everyone faces difficulties in life.”
“My price depends on whatever my customers can afford. I do not go to that high price. I do this to help everyone have food on their tables. Everyone needs to eat healthy for an improved lifestyle.
“We need a healthy nation that is why I sell as much healthy food as I can sell.”
