The Tailevu Netball Asso­ciation received a major boost ahead of the Punjas/Digicel National Netball Cham­pionship in Lautoka today.

Sun Insurance general manag­er finance Tarlochan Singh said they are grateful to provide mon­etary support for Tailevu.

“This is the first time we are do­ing this and we wish Tailevu the best,”he said.

“With our support we hope they will do well and enjoy the tourna­ment.”

Tailevu Netball president Nan­cy Narayan said;

“The girls will do their best and we are so grateful to Sun Insur­ance.”

She also thanked the Prime Minster oreqe Bainimarama for always being there for Tailevu.

“There’s no excuse for the girls now as we have been preparing for a month. The timely help will inspire the teams to make the fi­nal

Tailevu will be fielding three teams and will be known as the ‘Sun Insurance Tailevu.

Anareta Natoba, a former Lelean Memorial and national Under-18 rep, will captain the main team.

She is the daughter of former national 15s rep Kameli Natoba.

The team is coached by Tokasa Osborne. Tailevu will field three teams in the two-day event.
