The Reliance Pharmacy sponsored- Nadi Muslim College football teams have been promised cash incentives if they win the Vodafone Fiji Secondary Schools Football Championship which starts at Prince Charles Park, Nadi tomorrow.

The school is fielding a team in the Under-19 and U15 categories.

COMPETITIVE

Coach Nadeem Mohammed during the jersey presentation ceremony said they are going to emulate the historic win of the U17 team in 2015.

“The teams will be given incentives if they win,” Mohammed said.

“We are overwhelmed with the sponsorship rendered to the school by the DHE Transport from Canada and also Reliance Pharmacy where the kits and boots have been given to some of the players.

“In 2015 we won the national title but now the competition is very competitive.”

MISSING TRIO

The side suffered a setback but however, would not be affected as three players Peni Tuigulagula, Tito Vodowaqa, and Sekove Naivakananumi are in Tahiti with the Vodafone Fijian Under-19 team.

“We’ve a very young side with some of the player’s to be part of the age group again next year.”

POOL OF DEATH

The U19 side will be led by Waisale Navuebakalevu, a former Fijian U17 rep and striker Benaminio Lebacavacava who has been impressive for the side.

The side are in the pool of death where they face last year’s runner up Cuvu College, Xavier College and Penang High School.

In the U15 grade, Nadi Muslim College take on Xavier College, Rishikul Sanatan College and Labasa College in the four team round robin competition with the top two qualifying for the final.
