Tuwai At No.15 For Newtown

The Newtown rugby team are taking it one step at a time as they face Navosai in the quarterfinals of the Ram Sami Nasinu Premier 15s competition at Marcellin Primary School ground, Vatuwaqa today.
Speaking to SUNsports Newtown Rugby president Tevita Kaufuti said the players are looking forward to the match.
Kaufuti said, although they are the defending champions they would not be taking the match lightly.
“We’re aware that other teams are vying for the position that we are in at the moment,” he said.
“The players have prepared well for the quarterfinal. We are on top of the table since it is quite tough maintaining those positions as all teams are trying to put us out.
“Our vision is to finish the season on a high note. This not the first time that we’ve played Navosai and also the other teams that we’ll be playing later if we move up to the semi-final.”
The side will feature the likes of Fiji Airways Fijian 7s captain Seremaia Tuwai.
“Tuwai will be at fullback and also there are some Nasinu reps that played during the Vodafone Vanua Challenge this year that will be part of the squad,” Kaufuti added.
The match kicks-off at 9am.
