The Ratu Kadavulevu School Under- 19 side retained the Powerade Super Deans Rugby Championship’s Under-19 title yesterday.

This was after they beat Lelean Memorial School 14-0 in the final at the ANZ Stadium, Suva.

What happened: Both team started strongly as LMS opted to kick the ball behind the RKS defence and pressure them into mistakes.

In the 22nd minute RKS scored their first try to Apisai Senileba and was converted by Suli Tubuna.

Halftime: RKS 7-0 LMS

In the second half both teams gave their all and in the 10th minute RKS ran in their second try to Rosiveta Nadibi and he also converted it for a 14-0 win.

Comment: RKS assistant manager John Levy said: “It was tough match as LMS has beaten us in the Eastern final but we came out today with respect for our opponents.

“I think that was one of the ways that we were able to hold them and retain the title.”
