Seventeen-year-old Miss Kris Amusement  scooped the Best Teen Talent award on Saturday night at the Valelevu Ground in Nasinu.

The Suva Sangam College ,Year 11 student, Olivia Bairo was caught by surprise when she was named the 2018 Vodafone Fiji Hibiscus Festival teen talent award winner.

10 teen contestants presented their best talent in vying for the award.

Olivia performed a Solomon Island song and titled ‘God’s unfailing love’ during her talent performance.

She hails from the Solomon Islands with maternal links to Lau.

The pure science student wants to become a doctor.

For her advocacy, Olivia talked on ways to reduce diabetes cases in the country.

She said her talent performance was based on ways to reduce diabetics cases in Fiji.

“My performance was about exercising practices that people could learn and do to reduce NCDs,” Olivia said.
