The Kadavu won the overall prize during the 2018 Central Primary Schools Netball tournament in Suva which ended yesterday.

The team won the U9 and the U14 grades at the National Netball Cen­tre.

The Kadavu Black Ferns beat Nas­inu Red 7-6 in the U9 and the U14 edged Suva Gold 12-11.

Team manager Kelereani Tuni was happy with the performance of her netters

“The girls have made us and the people of Kadavu proud and we want to thank them for that,” Tuni said

“The girls have improved a lot from previous years.

“The squad started their prepara­tion after the district meet in Ka­davu and it has paid off.

“The parents have always been there for us in helping the team out especially for the team’s trip to Suva.

“What the girls have achieved has brought the people of Kadavu to­gether.”

Tuni thanked all the supporters and especially to parents.
