Rugby For Me:Dikedike
Tevita Dikedike aims to play for the Fiji Airways Fijian 7s team in the World Sevens Series in future.
Dikedike, Year 4 student of Nalagi Public School, Sigatoka captained the Nadroga U9 side during the Vodafone West Kids Rugby Festival.
“I started playing at five and this is what I love doing,” he said.
“Seeing my father play rugby motivated me to get into the sport and be like him.
The 8-year old said leading the side was a major achievement for him as well.
“Everyone is really happy of what I’ve achieved so far,” he said.
“I’m aim to play for Fiji in the World Sevens Series.”
Coach Taniela Naqali rated Dikedike.
“He is a disciplined child and a very hardworking player. He’s always telling the boys to be disciplined and to follow orders.”
