Primary School Netters Key: Tauvia

There is a need to develop netball in primary schools if the sport is to grow, says Isikeli Tauvia.
The Western Lewasewa Netball Primary Schools tournament coordinator made the comment after the two-day event ended at Lawaqa Park on Wednesday with Lautoka dominating by winning four of the six titles.
“The competition has improved compared to the last two years. It has lifted to another level and a positive development for the sport going forward,” Tauvia said.
“This kind of competition is very important for our young girls especially if we want to produce good future netball players, teach them the skills from an early age.
“We need to set a pathway for them to become good netball players and future Fijian Pearls.
“There is so much talent out there, all we need is to find them and develop them early.”
A total of 68 teams from seven districts in the western division took part.
