Stay Positive, Our Cricket Players Urged

After six weeks of intense training, our national cricket team are ready for the 2018 ICC World Twenty20 East Asia Pacific Sub Regional Qualifier.
They face the region’s top teams of Papua New Guinea and Vanuatu at Albert Park, Suva on Saturday.
Cricket Fiji board member Liga Gukisuva said the team were reminded during their thanksgiving service at the International Network of Churches in Suva to be positive and play to their best.
“For the first time Fiji will be hosting the 2018 ICC World Twenty20 East Asia Pacific Sub Regional Qualifier and we want to produce the best,” he said.
“The team is in good spirit and they are aware of the task ahead. We keep reminding them to work as a team and not to play as individuals.”
Gukisuva acknowledged the big support from business houses in Suva.
“This would not possible without the help from our various sponsors and also the public.”
