Between The Lines

Lighting the way
This is one of the new lights that have lit up the Queens Road from Suva to Pacific Harbour. It should help make the night drive easier for motorists.
Disciplinary actions
This week the annual conference of the Methodist Church in Fiji will hold disciplinary hearings that show that men and women of the cloth are just humans. Sometimes they err and do things that breach their code of ethics and conduct. Every year a list is dealt with by the disciplinary committee and their recommendations are ratified by the conference. This year is no different. Some talatalas will be hoping their burdens will be lifted by the end of the week.
Kofi Annan event
Former United Nations (UN) workers in Fiji are planning to have a feast to remember the late Kofi Annan, the seventh secretary-general of the United Nations.
Their spokesperson, Alowesi Kaleca, told BTL they were organising a lovo and a get together to remember Mr Annan.
