Cricket Fiji received a $10,000 boost from Data 3, a leading IT services and solutions in Suva, yesterday.

Data 3 chief executive officer and managing director Laurence Baynham said they are delighted to support such a great game and organisation.

“We look forward to working with Cricket Fiji and wish the T20 men’s team the very best of luck in the upcoming qualifiers on home soil,” Baynham said.

The deal will provide apparel and unique benefits to both male and female players, including the Fijian T20 cricket team who will compete in the ICC World T20 Pacific EAP regional qualifiers.

Cricket Fiji chairman Mosese Yavalanavanua said the partnership is a great fit and complements both Cricket Fiji and Data 3 brands and all remain fiercely committed to upholding the image of the sport.

“The partnership enables us to strengthen the guidance and support offered to our cricketers as they build their careers here at home while we prepare for global tournaments.

“Cricket is the number two sport in the world in terms of global audience and the announcement of an international partnership in the week of the T20 World Cup qualifying round underlines the appeal of Cricket Fiji in the Pacific and globally.”

As part of the Cricket Fiji sponsorship, a contribution of 10 percent from the sum given was presented to WOW Kids Fiji, a non- profit charity foundation for children with cancer in Fiji.
