The Water Authority of Fiji (WAF) Board of Directors, senior management and a Government team met yesterday to put in place plans regarding the water situation due to the current dry weather spells.
WAF chairman, Mr Bhavesh Kumar, updated the Government team on the regional-situation on the ground regarding water levels and the preventative measures that are in place.
Because of the climatic changes resulting in the dry spells he urged members of the public to practise water conservation by ways of minimising the washing of cars, driveways as well as watering of gardens.
The rural water carting schedule is being released, and affected rural communities are to follow the schedule to track their areas delivery times.
