Team Fiji swimming captain Netani Ross aims to set three national records during the 2018 Junior Pan Pacific Championship.

The 17-year old will take part in 100metres backstroke, 50m freestyle and 100m freestyle in the four-day event which starts tomorrow at the Damodar City Aquatic Centre.

“It’s not going to be easy trying to set national records for the three events but I am going to try my best,” Ross said

“I will try my best to keep and learn from the international swimmers.”

The Year 12 student of Swami Vivekananda College said the competition will be a good buildup as he prepares for the 2018 Youth Olympics in Buenos Aires in October.

“This competition is like a platform towards the Youth Olympics for us and everyone is going to give their all,” he said
