Naidu To Decide Future After Dames Fight

Welterweight Ronald Naidu is preparing well for the biggest fight of his career when he takes on Australia’s Brent ‘Sugar’ Dames at Prince Charles Park, Nadi on Saturday.
The 10-round fight is for the vacant World Boxing Foundation (WBF) Australasian welterweight title.
Speaking to SUNsports yesterday the 27-year-old Korovuto slugger said the outcome of this fight would determine on whether he continues on or not.
“It will be a tough fight but I’m ready to battle,” he said.
Naidu has a remarkable amateur boxing record, winning 22 of his 23 fights while as a professional he has won 7 fights, 2 losses and 3 draws.
“I took up amateur boxing when I was 16-years-old and never looked back.”
Naidu said he always wanted to become a champion and being provided with the opportunity of a title fight, is a dream come true.
“I’ve been training for almost a month for this fight.”
Promoter Ben Krishna said he is confident that Naidu would do wonders in the ring on Saturday night.
The promotion starts at 5.30pm.
