Nadi Muslim College Reunion In Canada

A Nadi Muslim College reunion in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada, was such a success that organisers are looking at doing it all over again.
Around 30 former scholars who attended the college between 1980 and 2000 got together last Sunday at the Madina Restaurant Ball.
There was an air of anticipation and excitement about the reunion said spokesperson Irshaad Mohammed, who was a student from 1982 to 1987.
Mr Mohammed said the event and memories was the brainchild of Rahnuma Rehman, who through a Facebook page, planned the first reunion outside of Fiji.
“After almost a year of planning, many, many phone calls, emails and messages the date was set for the get together,” he said.
Mr Mohammed said amid exclamations of “how did you get old,” “class clown”, “besties”, “we still look hot”, “wanted”, and “my high school crush”, the former students enjoyed three hours of mix and mingle and the mouth savoring dinner.
The former students have also pledged to help the underprivileged students in corroboration with the NMC.
“There have been discussions about raising funds soon to help out the needy students of NMC,” Mr Mohammed said.
“Information would be shared between the school contact and the ex- students, the needy identified, and funds would then be made available.”
A future reunion is expected to be even bigger and plans are already underway to include former students from outside the province.
