The Sanatan Dharam Prati­nidhi Sabha, Rewa Division president Vijendra Prakash has thanked the Government for its support and care to all religions and religious activities.

The Sanatan Dharam Pratinidhi Sabha is one of the largest Hindu organisations in Fiji.

Mr Prakash made the remark when the Attorney-General and Minister for Economy Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum was invited to celebrate Krishna Janam Asthami at the Go­pal Sadhu Hanuman Gadhi Temple in Nakasi yesterday.

Mr Prakash said they had invited the Attorney-General to thank Gov­ernment and the Prime Minister.

“It was important for us to invite the person, who has given a vision where he has allowed all the people of this country to be treated equal­ly,” Mr Prakash said.

“We would like to thank them be­cause there was a time the religious events such as Ram Navmi, Krishna Janam Asthami and other events were difficult to be conducted be­cause of curfews from 6pm to 6am.”
