Organisers of the Nadi International Airport Volleyball Festival 2018 have confirmed the participation of 63 organisations The event is dubbed as the South Pacific biggest volleyball tournament.

This year the tournament returns to where is all began, the Fiji Airports ground in Namaka, Nadi on September 29.

Over the years, the tournament had been played at Ratu Navula College ground and Prince Charles Park.

Tournament president Joe Gray told SUNsports yesterday that they already surpassed the 100- team mark and this year they are looking at 140 to 160 teams participating.

“There are about 63 organisations that have confirmed their participation. The interest has vastly grown and it continues to soar, and we are adamant that we will again deliver the biggest volleyball fest so far.”

Gray also confirmed that they have engaged with the The Laughing Samoans show to be part of the signature Tarakoro.

“This is because we have patterned with Wows Kids and we hope to double what we gave last year.

“We have secured two major sponsors who have come onboard and this will be revealed later. Tanoa Group of Hotel has sponsored the Laughing Samoans show to be staged at the FNU campus.”
