Defending champions Queensland remains on track in the 2018 Ram’s Group of Companies Sana­tan World Cup at Prince Charles Park in Nadi yesterday.

The Australian side defeated Korovuto 1-0 in their final pool play.

On day one, the side drew 2-2 with Nabua and hammered Ba 4-1 in its second match.

The Vinit Chand-captained Navua side also remained unbeaten after a 2-0 win over Nakasi.

The southerners had the services of James Pillay, a current Lautoka district rep, Monit Chand, Sarat Kumar and James Charitar were on fire.

“it was a grand two matches and the boys played their hearts out the we are grateful for the six points,” Vinit Chand said.

The Avinesh Prasad coached Drasa had the services of Suva district rep Kelvin Naidu, Alvish Naidu, Ravinesh Dass and Shiva Raj. They beat Rotorua 2-1.

Interestingly, NZ Ba had the services of Shamil Rao, Nikhil Chand, Alvin Avinesh and Rahul Krishna held Nasinu nil-all draw.

Meanwhile, when this edition went to press the quarter-finals were underway. The semi-finals and the finals are sched­uled today.

Results: (Open) Uluisila 1-2 Nasinu, Tuva 1 – 0 NZ Ba, Makoi 1 – 1 Suva, Nadi 0- 4 Varoka, Ba 2 – 0 Nabua, Nakasi 0 – 2 Navua, Queensland 1 – 0 Korovuto, Roto­rua 1 – 2 Drasa.
