Backline players Poasa Waqanibau and Enele Malele will not be travelling with the Fiji Airways Fijian Drua side in Round 3 and 4 of the National Rugby Championship in Australia.
Waqanibau was carried off the field in the 34th minute after suffering a knee injury in 66-5 win over Brisbane City in Lautoka last Saturday. He has been ruled out of the competition.
His replacement Enele Malele only lasted for six minutes and is out for three weeks.
Head coach Senirusi Seruvakula said, there will be only 26 players travelling from the 30 member squad.
“We are still waiting for the results from the doctors then I can confirm the tour party,” Seruvakula said.
“Certainly it’s going to get tougher it’s not going to be easy for us. The Australian teams will be reviewing all our games and they will be working on our weaknesses and try to stop our momentum.
“We just need to look at ourselves and prepare well and go there and play according to our game pattern, maintaining discipline for the 80 minutes.”
The side departs today for Brisbane.
