Courts employees from the eastern and western region stores gathered at the Gospel High School to celebrate Constitution Day public holiday with a difference.

The staff and management all came together for 2018 Courts Annual Sports and Awards Day participating in various sporting activities and having lots of fun.

This was also a great opportunity for team bonding as staff met with their colleagues from different locations, whom they liaise with but don’t see often.

All staff were allocated into four teams named after world renowned bands sold by Courts, Fisher & Paykel – Black Panther, Philips – Blue Lion, LG – Red Puma, Hisense – Green Cheetah.

The day began with staffs participating in zumba as warm up and then participating in main sporting events including football, volleyball, netball and touch rugby. Many staffs participated in fun games organized by the Human Resources department who put in tremendous efforts in making this day extremely enjoyable and memorable for all.

Winners:

The overall winner was team LG – Red Puma while Philips – Lion took the football trophy and Hisense – Green Cheetah took touch rugby trophy.

Women’s volleyball was won by LG Red Puma team and men’s volleyball by Fisher & Paykel Black Panther team. The day concluded with all the staffs being treated to scrumptious lunch served to them by senior managers and branch managers.

Meanwhile Northern region staff including Taveuni, Savusavu and Labasa, met at Ganilau Park to enjoy the 2018 Courts Annual Sports Day as well.

Highlights

The main highlight of the day however was the introduction of Long Service Awards presentation which henceforth will become an annual event in Courts calendar. The awards were presented to those staffs who have been with the company for more than 30 years, and those that completed 25 years and 20 years with the company. Presenting these awards Vision Investments Limited Group CEO P L Munasinghe acknowledged the recipients and also encouraged all the staffs to uphold the company’s vision, which is to provide outstanding customer service to delight Courts customers.
