Three men are in Police custody following separate raids as Police zero in on those involved in hard drugs.

Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro said Operation Cavuraka IV has seen several raids conducted on those alleged to be involved in the trade and use of methamphetamine as well as cocaine.

Ms Naisoro said a raid was conducted on the September 14, at Hanford Place in Narere at the home of a man in his 50s whereby clear plastic bags containing white crystal powder believed to be methamphetamine were found.

In the second raid also conducted on the 14th, the home belonging to a man in his 30s at Vishnu Deo Road in Nakasi was searched and a small plastic containing white crystals believed to be methamphetamine and cash were discovered. In the third raid conducted on September 15, a man in his 30s was arrested after a clear plastic containing white powder believed to be cocaine as well as other apparatus were found in his car which was parked in Votualevu in Nadi.

All three remain in custody as the substances have been sent for analysis.

Operation Cavuraka IV was currently underway and the Fiji Police Force has  encouraged members of the public to call Crime Stoppers on 919 if they have any information on those involved in the illicit drug trade.
