Digicel Signs Up For Music Event

Music lovers in the Suva-Nausori corridor are in for a treat.
There will be loads of entertainment from well-known singers and musical groups as the week-long Procera Music Carnival starts this Saturday at the Valelevu Ground in Nasinu.
Sponsored by Digicel Fiji, the event will include an artist from Bollywood.
Digicel Fiji’s head of consumer, Charlotte Taylor, said the company was delighted to support the music carnival.
Ms Taylor said the carnival would promote local singers, composers and musicians with the theme “Be Original Buy Original”.
She made the comments yesterday as Digicel signed on as a co-sponsor for the music carnival for the first time.
Procera Music Carnival’s event co-ordinator Laisa Vulakoro was thankful to Digicel Fiji for the sponsorship, saying it would enhance the festival.
“The sponsorship will help our committee organise another successful carnival as we continue to showcase and celebrate local musicians and composers with eight days of quality entertainment,” she said.
“We will have Music Extravaganza night, Gospel night, two-day cultural night, Island night, Fijian night presented by Digicel and Closing night.”
Ms Taylor said the festival would bring many artists from around Fiji onto the stage,” she said.
“We are happy to announce a co-sponsorship agreement for the Procera Music Carnival this year and I would like to thank the organisers of the carnival for giving us this opportunity and accepting our partnership for the first time.
“Digicel does its best in promoting local musicians and composers. We have more than 150 artists with more than 1000 songs currently in our Digicel intunes catalogue and on our recently introduced music application, d’Music.”
