The Jock Luita coached/ captained Police side will face an uphill battle against Ravoravo (Sabeto) in the Premier semi-final at Prince Charles Park, Nadi tomorrow.

Last Saturday Police edged out Naduruniu 20-18 in the quarterfinal.

Police manager Marika Tonawai said:

“Mistakes marred our game against Naduruniu.

“We know Sabeto is the team to beat in Nadi as they have been playing well. We are going in as the underdogs as we have new players.

The side are banking on players like Sailasa Koro, Mosese Varamusu, former Tailevu winger Mataiasi Koroi and former Fijian Under-20 rep Jope Vuibau.

Police last won the Premier division in 1995. In the other semi-final Airport will play Momi.

Competition co-ordinator Jeff Tamata said, they expected a good turnout on Saturday.

Last week, Ravoravo beat Nasesevia 22-15 while Airport beat Korobebe 23 – 14.
