A man in his 20s died following a motor vehicle accident last night.
The victim from Nasavusavu Village in Ra was travelling from Matawailevu towards Waimicia after 6 pm when he allegedly lost control of the car causing it to veer off the road and landed in a drain.
Investigations continue and a post-mortem will be conducted to ascertain the cause of death.
The road death toll currently stands at 55 compared to 48 for the same period last year.
