Politics of secrecy?

BTL received an interesting call yesterday to share a very interesting titbit about a political party meeting a reader had attended.

Reader witnessed a party official go around checking if anyone was recording the speakers at the political party campaign meeting.

What are they trying to hide?

Politics of race?

Camp SODELPA is busy breaking down the FijiFirst candidate listing based on ethnicity and provinces.

It is just another indication of how their policies are provincial and they continue to fail to see Fiji for all Fijians.

Politics of gender?

Why the hate?

Many are today questioning why the fake accounts on Facebook are busy tearing down the powerful line-up of women named in the FijiFirst line-up.

Are some running so scared that their only defence is to tear down women?

Tsk tsk

Place to be

Suva continues to be the place to be if you want to network with the region, regional organisations and international organisations working in the region.

Cook Islands is likely to be the next to establish a diplomatic mission here.

Those Israeli foreign affairs types who came, set up a mission here and then quietly closed down and left, must be feeling a tad out of touch.

Hollow sound

When Sitiveni Rabuka sold his land to Chinese investors, did he put a caveat that buildings on that land will not be built higher than a coconut palm?

His reason behind the coconut palm argument sounds very hollow.
