He said they were moving to the next stakeholder, which was the voter.

“We are working to improve the accuracy of voter’s details on the voter cards,” Mr Saneem said.

“We will be based out in various centres throughout this week to enable the voters to update their details.

“It is highly likely that this maybe your last weekend to update your details and should a writ be issued, say on Monday, we will close updating of details and new registrations completely.

“This is our final push. Do not wait for the last minute.

“In our case this year last minute may be very short notice and voters will then have to rush to get their details updated.”

Mr Saneem said FEO had a presence in 50 centres around the country.

“The voters have this opportunity and can access everything at their nearest locations,” he said.

“In order for you to vote, you need to have your details updated so that you have the right polling venue.

“We do not want to have the situation that you have not updated your details and on election day you are unable to cast your vote because you are not able to reach your polling venue.

“Also please inform us if a member of your family has passed away.

“It is very important to keep the roll as current as possible therefore any person who updates their details with us, we appreciate this.

“On the same note, if someone in the family is unable or disabled to visit the FEO, then inform us at any of our hotspots, we will organise our team to travel to their residential address and conduct voter registrations for them,” Mr Saneem said.
