Three New Bures Added To South Sea Island

The project took about three months to build and the soft opening was held at the beginning of September.
South Sea Cruises has revealed their new accommodation options for overnight guests on South Sea Island.
This includes the three new beachfront bures with modern decor, outdoor bathrooms, ceiling fans and patios with colourful deck chairs.
The new bures join South Sea Island’s existing accommodation offering of 32 dorm beds in 16 twin bunks.
The three bures are located on the western side of one of Fiji’s most popular day trip destinations with a full view of Malamala Beach Club and the Mamanuca Islands.
South Seas Cruises’ chief executive officer Brad Rutherford said: “We’re really pleased with the three bures.
“They look very smart, the furnishings and detailing are of a high standard and they’re in a perfect spot on the island for enjoying the spectacular sunsets of the Mamanuca Islands.
“We wanted to add another accommodation option for South Sea Island to our existing 32-bed dorm.
“The new bures definitely lift its appeal of South Sea Island as an overnight destination for a couple or group of three couples as an overnight getaway from Denarau or en-route to and from the Yasawas.”
Inside the rooms
The contemporary bures, which will be available within the Awesome Adventures Fiji programme as well as an ‘Island Escape’ option, are fitted with double beds only.
They come with premium bedding and towels and a luggage rack and amenities.
Their outdoor bathrooms are protected from the elements with a retractable canvas awning and hot water is available 24 hours.
The project took about three months to build and the soft opening was held at the beginning of September.
Also new at South Sea Island, just a half-hour from Port Denarau Marina, is 30 minutes of complimentary WiFi for day guests and a new shower and toilet block. Bure and dorm guests receive unlimited WiFi.
Also being built is a new unisex shower and bathroom block for dorm and day cruise guests.
