Expect More Rain In the South and Eastern Parts Of Viti Levu

A trough of low pressure lies slow moving over the southwestern parts of the group.
According to the Fiji Meteorological Service associated cloud and showers are expected to affect Kadavu, southern and eastern parts of Viti Levu and the southern Lau group.
Forecast:
Occasional showers over Southern Lau group, Kadavu and nearby smaller islands, the interior, southern and eastern parts of the Viti Levu. Isolated afternoon or evening thunderstorms with heavy falls possible.
Elsewhere, cloudy periods with showers especially in the afternoon or evening.
SITUATION REPORT
The Fiji Roads Authority (FRA) is advising members of the public to be aware of localised flooding.
Several low lying roads and crossings, including the Veisari Slip on Queens Road, is currently being monitored.

FRA is urging the public to please refrain from attempting to cross flooded roads, crossings and bridges and use alternative routes where possible.
Motorists are advised to keep a safe following distance in order to prevent accidents on wet and slippery roads.
FRA will continue to issue alerts and warnings as required.
