Bayly Welfare Trust Labasa has stepped in to help Nadogo Central College principal Mohammed Khan, provide free breakfast to his students.

This is after the Trust’s northern manager, Satishwar Chand, and his general manager read an article in the Fiji Sun about Mr Khan’s work.

Mr Chand said the Trust went to visit some of their clients whom they had been assisting in Nadogo outside Labasa Town.

“When we heard about Mr Khan using his money to help students who travel from home around 5am daily and reach school by 8am, we decided to be of little help also,” Mr Chand said.

“Yesterday we provided nine cartoons of milk, nine cartoons of porridge and one 25 kilogram sugar, which will probably last for a few weeks.

“We are very happy to see the school feeding their students with breakfast in an effort to help them have food in their stomach so that they can concentrate in their class.”

Mr Khan said when the students saw the donation they were so happy and acknowledged the Trust’s call to help.
