Three members of the Sri Lanka Army Rugby Football committee arrived into the country on Tuesday to scout for two players and a technical advisor from the Republic of Fiji Military Forces .

The new recuits will start in  the new season which starts next month.

Committee chairman Major General Sathyappriya Liyanage said; “Sri Lanka Army has decided to have a minimum of 3 foreign players from Fiji for this season, as we have good experience with them in the past.

“Also in the previous seasons we have seen good players coming from Fiji and we are thankful for the RFMF for giving us this opportunity.”

He said they would be looking for a forward and backline player.

“Sri Lanka Army is interested of a back  row player (preferably “No 8) and center and also one of them should be a good kicker too.

“If possible it is better that one of them could work as a coach of Sri Lanka Army team,” he said.

“We have been having good talks with RFMF and we are hoping for the best.”
