We Want FijiFirst Government Back, Says Nakorosule Chief

Nakorosule chief, Turaga Na Vunivalu Ratu Joseva Sorovakarua said yesterday his people in Naitasiri wanted the FijiFirst Government to lead the country again after the 2018 General Election.
“We want the FijiFirst Government back,” he said.
Ratu Joseva is also the chief of the Nagonecolo district that has eight villages – Nakorosule, Waibalavu, Nawaisomo, Wairuarua, Nasalia, Laselevu, Udu and Burelevu.
He said that the FijiFirst Government had carried out developments in the district that benefitted the people and had also helped lift the standard of living for every family.
“No other Government has done what this Government is doing and we fully support the leader Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama,” he said.
Fiji, he said, had waited for many years to get a good leader like Mr Bainimarama who really cared for the people.
He said Mr Bainimarama was a leader for all Fijians and the developments carried out were for them.
The FijiFirst Government, he said, had removed the racial policies.
“All developments are inclusive.”
Ratu Sorovakarua also relayed the message to Joeli Cawaki the Assistant Minister for Rural and Maritime Development and National Disaster Management, who was at the village yesterday as the guest of the 12 village representatives.
They had invited Mr Cawaki to explain to them how to access Government help in their proposed developments.
The chairperson of the Nagonenicolo Development Committee, Meli Sauvakacolo, said they had wanted Mr Cawaki to be with them to show him their support and also to the Government.
“Mr Cawaki has been helping us and now that he will not contest the election, we will still support him and the Government,” Mr Sauvakacolo said.
Mr Sauvakacolo thanked Mr Cawaki and Government for the developments in the district.
Mr Cawaki thanked them for their support.
He said he had accepted the party decision to exclude him from contesting the 2018 General Election.
Mr Cawaki said he enjoyed working under the excellent leadership of Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama.
He said he hoped the FijiFirst would be back in power to continue the good work it had carried out for all Fijians.
The non-racial policies of Government, he said, had benefitted the people.
His support for the party remained strong, he added.
“I’m still a FijiFirst man,” Mr Cawaki said.
He said he would continue to serve all the people.
