There is good news for more than 200 employees of Goundar Shipping Limited.
Each employee will receive a $500 bonus payment today in recognition of their services to the company.
This was confirmed by Goundar Shipping Limited (GSL) owner and managing director George Goundar in Suva during the 7th anniversary celebrations onboard the Lomaiviti Princess I, which the company owns
Mr Goundar reminded his working squads to be loyal to the company and the company would be loyal to them.
“Be loyal to the company and the company will reward you,” he said.
“Heads of department will come to the office today to pick up $500 for each crew member.
“This is for your hard work when you guys adhere to my request to be loyal in your duties to the company,”
Mr Goundar told employees to be supportive of the company because it was here to grow stronger and with their hard work move forward.
Goundar Shipping Limited started with Lomaiviti Princess I on its maiden voyage on September 15, 2011.
Mr Goundar then bought Lomaiviti Princess II in 2013, Lomaiviti Princess III in 2015, Lomaiviti Princess IV in 2016 and Lomaiviti Princess V in 2017.
