Peter Sinclair has been living at the Labasa Golden Age Home, formerly known as Labasa Senior Citizens Home, for the past 22 years.

In that time, he has seen a fair share of government care and assistance and has been able to gauge which one delivers on its promises.

That’s why this year, just as in 2014, Mr Sinclair is voting again for FijiFirst: “…they believe in keeping their promises. Unlike other political parties, FijiFirst believes in action rather than empty promises.

“They deliver and they serve. It is now time to build on that success as we move to a genuine democracy in our nation.”

The 58-year-old said he was eager to cast his votes in the election adding that it was something he’s been waiting for all year.

Mr Sinclair said he was happy with the assistance and the development the Government of the day had carried out.

“In the last election, I voted for FijiFirst and this time I will vote for the current Government again,” he said.

“A team from the Fijian Elections Office conducted a registration drive here at the Golden Age Home.

“Most of my friends here registered for the interest to have their voices heard through their votes.

“FijiFirst under the leadership of our Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama has achieved more for all Fijians than any other leader or Government.

“The people’s Prime Minister has put our country on track to becoming the most modern and advanced nation in the South Pacific,” he said.

Mr Sinclair expressed his gratitude to the Government.

“Imagine if he (Mr Bainimarama) runs for another four years, Fiji would be able to achieve greater things,” he said.

“They have lifted the living standards in the home with the nursing assistance and many others. The Government of the day does not differentiate people, leaving no one behind.

“We cannot wait for election day to vote for the Bainimarama Government.

“We want the Bainimarama Government to remain because they have made our lives easier.

“Actions speak louder than words, this is why we want to see the
return of the FijiFirst Government.

“We are tired of the false promises of the past,” he said.
