Boxers Set To Fight Abroad

The Boxing Commission of Fiji has given clearance to four out of seven invited local professional boxers to fight in Australia and New Zealand respectively.

BCF chairman Bulutani Mataitawakilai said yesterday the other three boxers are yet to be confirmed by the overseas promoters.

“The big numbers is an indication of the work done by local promoters and stakeholders in organising local boxing promotions almost every month since the new BCF board was appointed in April 2017,” he said.

 

CONFIRMED BOXERS

  1. October 20- Auckland, New Zealand, ABA Stadium James Singh v David Light (heavyweight non title).
  2. October 20- Newcastle, Australia- Wests Leagues Club Ronald Naidu v Kyron Dryden (welterweight non title).
  3. November 2- Auckland, New Zealand- ABA Stadium- Savenaca Naliva v David Light (WBF cruiserweight intercontinental title).
  4. November 10- Sydney, Australia – Club Marconi Soccer Club – Vilimoni Taganikoro v Danny Rio (WBF Australasian heavyweight title),
