Defending Senior Division Courts Inter-District Champions Nadroga survived an early scare as they fought back to beat Seaqaqa 5-2 at the ANZ Stadium, Suva yesterday.

Playing under slippery condition Seaqaqa took an early 2-0 lead with goals coming from Sakeasi Nadroge.

“We blew away our chances,” said Seaqaqa coach Sanaila Bera.

“We had six new boys and playing in the main ground is something new for them.

“The ground is very slippery but again we’ve got to adapt to the situation as we move on.”

The former Labasa striker said his young players need to time to settle down and is anticipating a much-improved performance against Taveuni today.

The Stallions had former national football goalkeeper Shaneel Naidu who pulled several spectacular saves. Nadroga also fielded seasoned campaigners like Gerard Voi, Dev Raj and Sunny Deol and Paulo Buke.
