SODELPA Gets It Right The Second Time, NFP Submits Candidate Nominations

SODELPA finally submitted their candidate nomination with a bank cheque today.
SODELPA secretary Adi Litia Qionibaravi made the submission.
On Tuesday afternoon the party had made submissions but failed to meet a requirement set by the Fijian Elections Office.
Supervisor of Elections Mohammed Saneem confirmed the party has now fulfilled all the requirements.

“The nomination we received today are now in order. The Fijian Elections office will now cross-check the nominations that we have received, we will do verification as per the requirement of the electoral act and we will respond to SODELPA with the result of the nomination within the next 48 hours.”
This afternoon, National Federation Party executives led by vice president, Seini Nabou made their submissions.
She was accompanied by NFP provisional candidates Kamal Iyer.
After receiving their candidate nominations, Mr Saneem said all their documents were in order.
SODELPA has failed a meet a Fijian Elections Office requirement on Tuesday.
