Seveci Rokotakala, a Namosi Provincial Council member appointed by the Ministry of the iTaukei Affairs, said he was happy with what Government had done to the province.

He said all the developments had benefitted the people.

Mr Rokotakala also thanked Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama for finally breaking the cycle of leaders favouring their own provinces, bringing development to their individual parts of the country to the detriment of the national interest.

He agreed with Mr Bainimarama in saying that they now had a strong Government – a Government for every Fijian – that set development priorities which benefit all of them.

“That’s what I mean when I say we’re levelling the playing field in our society. We are delivering development where it is needed, as is right and just. We are giving opportunity to all of our people, because all of our people deserve that chance. And we are building a better Fiji for every Fijian, every young person in the country and every mother and father working hard to provide for their family,” Mr Bainimarama said.

He said they were helping those who needed their help, every person who was vulnerable and who needed a special level of care as well as every Fijian who had had their communities devastated by a cyclone or who were under siege from rising seas and changing weather patterns.

He said they were bringing those Fijians security they never knew under past leaderships and that was a standard and expectation they would continue to meet.

Mr Rokotakala said if Fijians wanted the developments around the country to continue, they should vote for a Government that would continue the good work.
