Hosted by the Nausori Snooker Club, vice-president Timoci Gaunavinaka said their aim is to lift the standard of the sport by introducing a new format and changing competition rules.

“Snooker in Fiji is a dying sport and we were close to be suspended by the Fiji Association of Sports and National Olympic Committee (FASANOC) because we did not abide by the guidelines,”Gaunavinaka said.

“Players lack discipline and commitment.
