The 2018 FMF Chow Games will be held in two different venues this year because the event clashes with the General Elections.

Fiji Primary Schools Athletics Association general secretary Patrick Bower said the two venues will be the ANZ Stadium in Suva for Central, Eastern and Western schools while the other venue is Wairiki Secondary School in Taveuni to accommodate the Northern schools.

“The elections day is actually two days prior to the meet, which will be difficult for the athletes and officials to travel from the North to Suva,” Bower said.

“Most of the officials will actually be officiating on the day as election officers..”

Bower said the idea of hosting the zone in Taveuni is due to the availability of ground and they have made the decision wisely.

The Chow Games will be on November 16-17.
