Fiji Police Force Chief of Operations Assistant Commissioner of Police Maretino Qiolevu said over 100 police officers have been deployed for the royal visit.

“We have over 100 Police officers who will be deployed over the next three days for the Royal visit and will be providing security and escorting duties at all venues both in the Southern and Western divisions,” ACP Qiolevu said.

Officers deployed include those from the Specialised Unit and WATERPOL Unit of the force who will be patrolling the Suva harbour as well.

After the traditional welcome ceremony at Albert Park the couple will be escorted to the Grand Pacific Hotel balcony where they perform the royal wave after which they will be hosted by the President at a State Dinner.
