Royal Visit: Rolling Road Closures From Nausori Through To Albert Park

Major roads will be on rolling closure today, 23rd October from 4:15 pm to 6.00pm for the arrival of Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

The couple will touch down at Nausori Airport at 4 pm where they will be greeted by a Guard of Honour.
Soon after they will travel along the Kings Road to Borron House where they will call on the President, Major-General Retired Jioji Konrote.

Fiji Roads Authority Chief Executive Officer Jonathan Moore has advised members of the public to thoroughly plan their day.

“The Police officers will be present to assist with traffic movement and the public are urged to find alternative routes or travel ahead of time,” Mr Moore said.

He said they were looking forward to everyone’s cooperation in assisting this prestigious event.

This is the route the royal motorcade will take from Nausori Airport, Borron House and then on to Albert Park for the traditional welcome ceremony.

The following roads will be on rolling closure:
 Wainibokasi Road
 Kings Road (Nausori to Nabua)
 Ratu Mara Road
 Waimanu Road
 Edinburgh Drive
 Rodwell Road
 Scott Street
 Victoria Parade

Yesterday afternoon, preparations were well underway at Albert Park.
