The Lautoka Football Association has called on its supporters to come in numbers this Saturday to support their champion team.

Association’s president Abdul Kadar said the parade through town would be a prelude to the Fiji Airways Fijian Drua final clash with Queensland Country in the National Rugby Championship at Churchill Park.

”We want everyone to come out in blue for the parade and back the Drua at Churchill Park,”Kadar said.

The march will begin at 1pm from Marine Drive through the sugar city from Naviti Street to Vitogo Parade before turning at the Post Office and the Cathay Hotel to Churchill Park Two.

Kadar said players would be presented cash prize by the association.

“I cannot reveal the amount as it is confidential,”Kadar said.

“It is for them and their families to enjoy and use wisely.”

Kadar said the support from business-houses has been tremendous.

The side has been slowly getting back into gear following their back-to-back Courts IDC win in preparation for the upcoming Champions versus Champions (CVC) and the Pacific Cup.

Kadar said the players would take a break over the festive period before beginning serious preparations for the O-League.

“We may look at getting some overseas players for key positions as this competition is a step up from this present level.

“However the majority of the team will be the same as we had for the IDC.”

“But as for now we want Lautoka to be a sea of blue on Saturday.”
