The Fiji Primary Schools Football Association has been directed to award Nadroga the new winner of the Under-14 title for 2018.

The directive came from Fiji Football Association after a few of the Suva players were not registered.

The Quinton Iroi captained Suva was crowned the 43rd Vodafone Fijian Primary Schools Inter-District Championship winners after a hard fought 4-3 penalty shootout over Nadroga at Churchill Park in Lautoka last week.

Suva won $500 while Nadroga settled for $300.

But the cash prize and the title will now be given to Nadroga and Suva will await their fate during the Fiji Primary Schools Football Association council meeting on in Sigatoka on Saturday.

“I don’t know the actual number but a few of the Suva players were ineligible as they were not registered,”Fiji FA chief executive officer Mohammed Yusuf said.

‘Nadroga has been rewarded the cash prize and the title.

“The full details and how they will deal with Suva will be decided at the FPSFA council meeting on Saturday.”

Suva’s Rawcliffe Mae won the Under-14 Golden Boot Award, Quinton Iron the Golden Gloves Award and Raneel Prasad the best coach award.

But all this could be taken away from Suva.

FPSFA president Dina Mani confirmed the council meeting will be held at Sigatoka on Saturday.

In the semi-final Nadroga beats Labasa 2-1 and Suva beat Nadi 3-2 in extra time after 2-2 at fulltime.
